The following case studies highlight our technical approach to 5G performance verification and mobile device interoperability testing.

5G Modem Performance Validation for DISC

PQT Labs collaborated with DISC to evaluate and optimize 5G modem behavior under real-world and laboratory conditions.
The project aimed to validate the radio subsystem’s performance, spectral efficiency, and protocol compliance across multiple frequency bands and network configurations.

Scope of Work

  • • 5G NR (Standalone and Non-Standalone) connectivity validation
  • • Carrier aggregation and MIMO throughput measurement
  • • Beamforming and antenna radiation pattern analysis
  • • Protocol stack behavior verification (Layer 1–3)
  • • Thermal and power efficiency under continuous transmission

Outcome

The engagement resulted in improved uplink efficiency and reduced signaling failures under high-load network conditions.
PQT Labs delivered complete RF performance reports, protocol logs, and configuration recommendations for integration into DISC’s 5G device development program.

Wireless Performance Testing for Orion Mobile Systems

Mobile Telephony & Wireless Performance Assessment for Orion Mobile Systems

PQT Labs partnered with Orion Mobile Systems, a developer of mid-range communication devices, to conduct a series of tests assessing overall mobile network performance,
antenna integrity, and communication reliability across GSM, LTE, and Wi-Fi modules.

Scope of Work

  • • RF sensitivity and receiver selectivity measurements
  • • Interference and signal degradation analysis in mixed-band environments
  • • End-to-end voice and data session validation
  • • Protocol behavior and handover consistency testing
  • • Thermal stress testing during extended call durations

Outcome

PQT Labs identified performance deviations related to antenna impedance and frequency retuning during transmission bursts.
Recommendations were implemented into Orion’s subsequent firmware release, leading to measurable improvements in voice quality and LTE stability across tested carrier networks.
